Complete this course and the in-course assessments to become a certified Active X Backs Partner.

This course and the Access course combined have been awarded 10 CPD Points by CIMSPA.

You must have a Level 3 qualification from CIMSPA to undertake this course.

You will gain enormous insights and value from this course. This will benefit your clients AND your own ability to deal with pain and injuries.

Drawing on scientific research, it provides a lot more depth and detail than the free Access Course. It’s essential for you to learn the theory behind the Active X Backs approach, so that you have the right knowledge to support your clients. The course is grounded in the international clinical guidelines for the management of low back pain and sciatica.

You will need to demonstrate your understanding by completing short quizzes as you progress.

Lower back pain and sciatica course certification

After completing the course successfully, you may apply to become a certified AXB partner*. As such, you will be eligible to run AXB partner exercise classes (online and in-person) for clients wishing to relieve and prevent lower back pain and sciatica.

*The only other requirements for partnership status are that you have appropriate professional indemnity insurance and are registered with an appropriate membership organisation.

MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP TO THE COURSE WITH THE NAME YOU WANT TO APPEAR ON YOUR FINAL CERTIFICATE.

Our free assessment for low back pain and sciatica triages clients, informing them when there is a need for them to seek a medical assessment.

When signing up to use our digital platform and any services provided by our certified partners, the client also accepts a medical disclaimer. It states that we do not provide diagnoses or advice for their back pain or sciatica.  “All information provided by AXB and their partners is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as medical advice.”

The AXB app nudges the client to answer safety questions on a weekly basis. Every day it offers them relievers and preventers tailored to their Functional Assessment.  These vary depending on the progress they are making.

The client completes the AX Backscore, which is based on the Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire – a validated tool for assessing disability related to lower back pain – see Lesson 5 for more details. And we monitor their progress.
